This chapter talks about choosing the correct type of verbs and the countless verbs that we have in the English language. The English language has 5 variations for every verb excepting for be that has eight variations. These variations are base form, present tense, past tense, past participle, and present participle. But by far verbs are the most systematic of are word classes. The use of expanded verbs is also used like simple present, present progressive and so on. These type of verbs we use ed, ing, en, and have and many others. What I could summarize from this chapter was the use of verbs in their many forms like present, past and future and adding letters at the end of words so the verbs could be pronounced in the correct form. We can only say that without the use of verbs in our language words would not have a meaning since you don’t now if they are being used in present, past or future. Another thing this chapter talks about is the use of passive voice. To change a sentence from active to passive you the object most become the subject and the agent is the object of the preposition by or in some cases for. For example the fans booed the referee- The referee was booed by the fans . You can see clearly how the use of by and how the object becomes the subject.
How Big of an impact would verbs have in you’re writing in they dint exists?

A thousand years ago Europe was balmy and wine grapes grew in England; by 400 years ago the climate had turned chilly and the Thames froze repeatedly. Maybe the current warming is
another natural vagary, just a passing thing?

BP or British Petroleum they say as a global energy company, we believe we can play a major part in finding and implementing solutions to one of the greatest challenges of this century. In this article I was very surprised by the use of deception since oil companies are the prime factors for Global Warming. Since they stand a chance of loosing the empire of oil that is worth billions of dollars, because the may have to shot down their oil production to stop the release of carbon dioxide to the
atmosphere. They lie to the people with propaganda for example the use of better fuels that produce lees pollution in cars. This is not true since the process of combusting the fuel will still occur in a car and the release of carbon dioxide will happen.

My proposal for our final projects has to do with world conflicts. In this project you will have to write a paper talking about a conflict happening now or you can do a power point presentation in class. But in this project you will have to explain what is going on and why did it start. At the end of the paper you will have to come up with a solution to this conflict like if you were in the council of the United nation or you were the president of the country.

My idea is too make a class presentation about world conflicts going on and how can we try to stop them. We should inform about the problem lets say a war, diseases, and religious conflicts and explain the cause and effects of this situation in our world. At the end of the presentation we should give a solution for these problems.

We should do my idea because since everybody is bringing one problem our world is having well we can learn more and always be informed of what is going on in our society. Why this project in English class, well because it’s a way of perfecting the way in which you give speeches and gather information so then you can pass it on to someone else.

In my idea I propose to use a lot of multiliteracy like video clips from the news, newspapers, internet, and conferences. I will accomplish this by integrating all the information I gather from all this sources into my presentation.

Multileteracy is literature but it’s a more open because and it used in TV, like movies, news and other means of expression be means of TV. Then there are others like conferences or rallies they express what people believe. The radio is another means of multiliteracy and billboards can be used as multiliteracy. In other words multiliteracy is the use of other means of expressions that do not have to do with books.

In the movie An Inconvenience Truth I have to say that I agree with what Al Gore has to say and the way hi states it. The problem wit our world is that many people still think that their are more important things than Global Warming and that it’s an issue that should not be emphasized so much. But in Al Gores movie he states that we are dealing with a very big problem and we have to do something fast before it’s too late. He talks about how the uses of our natural resources are creating a lot of green house gases and the temperatures are rising. The most important thing about this movie is that he tells the people the Global warming is becoming more important than any other problem in our country and that we have too act soon.

Global warming is something is something that has been happing to our world since the begin of green house gases. But until now we dint know the damage it could create and the things that are happening to our world. Since our planet got industrialized green house gases have been destroying our ozone layer and raising the temperature of our planet. By raising the temperature of our planet the polar ice caps are melting and raising our world’s water levels. What effect can come of this, our costal cities will all be other water. But it’s hard to say when this can happened, but we have to understand that its something inevitable if we don’t change the way we spend our planets natural resources. So the sooner we can stop doing what we are doing the better outcome it will be for our planet.
